Yep, someone expecting an MM romance wouldn't enjoy this much. Still no itchy-scratchy? This far in?! But this is an historical novel with two men falling in love in 1919 Paris, not a Romance.

I've read other reviews of this book, out in two more weeks, that are not drawn in by the epistolary structure and the stately pace of the narrative. I'm hooked, I'm surprised that the story's lack of propulsive action hasn't left me more blasé. I like this story more than I need action? Dunno yet.
