Love the concept don’t love the execution. Word choices often seem off, especially for YA. ex- “arterial wine”. Ok i get it, it’s a sinister guy in a threatening scene. But arterial? I drink a lot of red wine and I’ve never seen one blood ref or viscous. Another is when the chandelier “detonated on the floor”.
It’s like melodrama of the adjectives here.
