So far this book is loads of fun. It’s basically a modern gothic tale with elements of a well known fairy tale involving a princess, a tower, clueless but strangely evil parents, a suitor from faraway lands, and a witch. Yes, there’s a witch and she isn’t a nice one. As with most fairy tales this one is dark. I have a rating of darkish, dark and darkest and this one is in the dark category.
