The prose is beautiful, however I'm trying to get past the unloved child turned porn star turned coke addict barrelling off a highway turned burn victim turned mysterious man with ancient past protagonist. I'll admit to skimming over paragraphs to try and find the point. This isn't quite what air expected. It's not bad. Just surprising.

Okay, so the story is growing on me. I love the historical stories more than anything. It's an intelligent premise.
