Habit 5 - Seek First To Understand, Then To Be Understood. This chapter is surely one of the greatest pieces on communication ever written.

Integrity is *conforming reality to our words* - in other words, keeping promises and fulfilling expectations. This requires an integrated character, a oneness, primarily with self but also with life."

Ah, Habit 3. I don't exactly use his methodology but the idea of Quadrant II activities must surely be considered one of the greatest of all time management theories.

Habit 1 - I must admit I do wish that everyone in the world would be made to read this chapter sometimes.

I haven't read this book for years - it impressed me back then but it's even more powerful now. The idea that our lives should be built around principles and not outward appearances is very important. But, sadly, I think we do value appearances more nowadays than actual character ... I hope I'm wrong.
