I have read several books by Yep, and this one is great. Easy reading for a preteen, interesting enough for an adult reader, exciting enough for young adults.

Main characters: Scirye, a royalty of the Kushan empire, Bayang, a shapeshifting dragon, Leech a boy with undiscovered powers, Koko, Leech's loyal companion, mysterious Mr. Roland, and evil dragon Badik. Set in an alternate earth, 1941, where there are dragons and other fantasy creatures. They all come together in one fantastic escapade of mayhem, danger, fantasy and courage.
