Sage snorted. "Honey, the man's first name is Beast. I think calling him Packed Pants is the lesser of the evils. Zuri and I actually tossed around calling him Bulge Behind the Zipper Dude, but it doesn't quite roll off the tongue the same way.

this is the first time this book has made me chuckle a little…it's actually been kinda disappointing

Beast had gotten her mother's house refurnished. She gaped at the beauty of the furniture. The sofas had plaid pillows on them. The wooden coffee table was in the shape of a fish.

I feel like these sentences contradict each other…but maybe I just can't picture a pretty fish-shaped coffee table?

"They didn't really invent the plane, but yes, the Wright brothers."
…
"You mean Albert Einstein? The smartest person that ever lived? E=mc² and all that?"
"That would be him."

I think this may be the first time I've seen a paranormal say they knew historical figures?

After shoving him in the car twice-the first time, one of the screwdrivers in the tool pouch poked him in the balls when he tried to sit. You'd have thought he was being murdered by the way he yelled-she hurried to her side and got the car on the road.

well, yeah…have some compassion woman, I'm sure that would hurt like a bitch…
