I've heard of her before. How's the book going? Would you recommend?

I have read several of Solnit's essay collections and really enjoy her work. I can see you enjoying her ideas. This is as fascinating book, but sadly, really slow going. It took me all summer to get halfway through. I'm actually tabling it until my next grad school break. It's one I want to finish, but not something I'll be able to finish right now.

Why is it slow going?

There’s lots of dense, sometimes dry information. I can only take it in small doses, a chapter here and there. It takes a lot of time to absorb. I want to appreciate it fully, so I only pick it up when I’m in the right frame of mind. So that means it reads slowly for me.
