Still not seeing how the two stories so far will connect, but the inclusion of a flashback chapter for Kaladin is good for the backstory.

I find myself being more interested in hearing more about the culture and society in the Stormlight universe, than the story itself. It's so alien and magical, with so many different cultures and societies.

Definitely hoping it moves away from the battlefield and into the cities more often.
