Steven has finally had a good moment with his mother. I think there is another reason why his dad didn't keep him updated about what was going on with Jeffery.

When something finally goes right for Steven, something very bed happens to his little brother Jeffery which was leukemia. So Jeffery got all the attention.

Steven just blamed his brother Jeffery for something he actually didn't do. He blamed Jeffery for making him late, just because he was talking to someone who was talking to him about what happened to Jeffery that mourning. Most of all Jeffery wasn't even there. I think Steven should not go blaming other people for something they didn't do. I think he should take responsibility of his actions

I wonder what will happen that is worse than eating the dangerous pie. Imagine his mom wants him not to be in the band anymore because they call him peasant.
