How in the world is *this* the next book in the series?
We've seriously backtracked on character development. Geary's gone back into depression mode even though he was clearly optimistic and encouraged by the the final scene of the previous book. Desjani has just taken on the qualities of Rione that I hated.
How can something this bad follow a book that was so good?
