Greatly enjoying this book. It is helping me mentally prepare for any outcome of my 2010 PCT thru-hike.

Book felt slow for a bit as here are more self-help tips and less personal stories. Im sure it will come back around though. ;o)

Val Very cool! How far are you planning on going?

Echo All the way! Thats the hope. :) 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada. Have you hiked any of the PCT?

Val No, I'm on the east coast, but how cool is that? Keep me posted!

Patrick Hey I saw you guys talking about Hiking. So, I thought I should join! Echo, I have hiked some of the PCT on Vancouver Island. Pretty spectacular.

I hiked/traveled around North America for a year about 3 years ago. Those are my pictures from that trip if you need some inspiration.

Thats awesome that you're doing that. It's probably the best thing you will ever do.

Echo I'm glad you did join in Patrick. Those are some wonderful photos you have! I liked your sepia treatment from some of the Alberta (im pretty sure it was Alberta) scenery pics. The photos from Whistler made be homesick. I adore the mountains.
Did you have a constant travel buddy for your year long trip? Or did friends join you here and there?

Did you mean you have hiked some of the PCT *and* on Vancouver Island? The Pacific Crest Trail ends at Manning Park.

As for this being the best thing I will ever do, I agree it will be the best thing I have done yet. *smiles* I hope for many more adventures in the future.
