I'm having fun with this one. It strikes me that this could be any zombie related anthology, but that Romero never produced an anthology film version of NOTLD, where different writers and directors could tell different stories of the same night/event is a shame. WD kind of does this, but a zombie anthology film, done right, could be a lot of fun. Till then, there's this book, I guess.
