This is starting off on the wrong foot. One character is mentioned as being " a black man," while the others introduced are just a "woman" and a guy the protag knows. Not sitting well with me at all. Why tell us the ethnicity of only one character? Why is it important we know there's a black man? Plus there seems to be no editing done to this. Two strikes, only need one more.
