The main antagonist in this book is, ironically enough, the protagonist’s father. When the protaganist, Paige, was but a young child, he developed an unfortunate habit of disappearing without notice and not returning for many months. This left a gaping hole in her family, as well as a thirst she was not able to quench. And now he has come back, leaving her with the desire to protect her child from her former pain.

This book has a genre of realistic fiction and romance. I have the knowledge that this book is realistic fiction because there is nothing in the book that is capable of not occurring in day to day life. However, it is still fiction because the book is not based on events that have actually happened. In addition, I am aware that this book is romance because it follows her falling in love with a man named Liam.

The main protagonist of this story’s name is Paige. She is a single mother, who works in the field of genetics. In the book, she is in the midst of conduction a study on oxytocin in males, as she has come to the conclusion that males with higher levels of this chemical in their body tend to show more fatherly traits. In general, Paige is a woman with high intellect, and a large personality to match.

In this book, the mother bears her child with the use of a sperm donor. I have often asked myself the question of the benefits of using this one such method, and also exactly how the medical procedure is performed. For example, is there a certain field of professionals that perform the transfer? How is the donation artificially transferred?
