I am still reading this book. It really is a slowread. Caroline Adderson wrote in the Globe and Mail: “The truth is, most novels read like this before the red pencil has done its magic. Someone has done this fine writer a disservice by rushing her book into print”.
She couldn’t have been more wrong. Had she lived in the times of for instance Homer, she would have written the same about the Odyssey.
