It’s wild reading this at the same time as “Popular Crime,” and having read things like “In Cold Blood” in the past. Two people can present the same crime in different lights.

“Are these tributes? Hopefully they are not. Whether Charles Starkweather was ‘natural born’ or evolved, he was a killer... and we should never forget that.” I have to say I’m not a huge fan of the writing style at times. Gets kinda patronizing.

I think the weirdest story so far has to be the case of the woman who committed statutory rape of a 12-y-o boy, bore 2 of his kids, and married him when he turned 21. Creepy.

This book is like a trip to a crime museum.
