As a scrawny kid with an appetite only for spaghettio's, I can remember my mother begging me to eat because "children in Biafra are starving." I had no idea what children she spoke of, but they were more than welcome to my dinner plate... This book has been a true history lesson. Slow start, but glad I've stuck with it.

Slow start; then it gets good, but slows again... definitely liked Purple Hibiscus more but Half is still a page turner...
