Finally we're introduced to the bad guy... so far I can't decipher his behaviour. The chapter is titled The Ikarus-Complex, but I can't find much info about this condition on the internet... except it's a form of over-ambition. We already know from prior chapters his weak point is his overblown ego.
I guess I have to wait for more background info to understand his personal reasons for acting like he does...
