Rochester is everything. I would even argue that the guy is a feminist. What I love about their relationship is that it’s a relationship of the minds, a true exchange between two intellectuals, without care for genders. There’s no artifices, no big revelation, it’s a very pure love story. Charlotte Brontë is a genius.
