As Kaneki is experiencing these changes he starts to feel normal like nothing happened. When he got home after this event still amazed by the girl getting crushed he tried to eat some food but he noticed that it tasted gross. So for the remainder of his time home he tried to figure out why this is. The next day when he was walking he was attack by an unordinary human who called itself a ghoul.

What is currently happening is that Kaneki is embracing his ghoul side and is questioning everything. He feels as if he does not fit in with society anymore and that he must keep it a secret. He also can not eat his normal food only humans.

When Kaneki attacked the ghoul back and when he felt weird. When he felt weird he did not feel human anymore . As this occurs his eye changes to a dark black meaning that he is now a ghoul.

What is currently happening is that the ghoul that attacked kaneki attacked him because his scent was the same as another ghouls. Kaneki is fearful at this moment which leads him to go out of control and attack back. When Kaneki attacked he felt weird as he did so.

The manga starts off about a boy named Ken Kaneki who was walking down an ally at night. As he walked down the ally he saw a girl who was about to get crushed by a falling beam but didn't save her in time. When he approached the body be tried to save her but a change occurred in the process.
