So. I'm enjoying this book so far, but it's quite clear it comes from a smaller press. The writing is utilitarian, and could use another pass; there have been a lot of typos, tense issues, some run-ons, etc. Yet I do like it so far, honestly, and would recommend thus far for people who are fans of adventure books a la Clive Cussler with the Dirk Pitt series.

Quick second update for today... I finished the spike/ball game scene and am loving the obvious Tomb Raider influence. I really hope this influence continues throughout the rest of the book--that's basically why I bought it!
