This is amazing so far! The city is fascinating, the characters are intriguing, and I can’t wait to read more. The entire story (especially descriptions of the mines) holds a sort of tension to it; and brief instances of describing how unstable the mines are—and their potential to take out half the city if they fall—makes me wonder if this is foreshadowing...Eek.
