At the end of the book, it was the news article about the murders that took place. It re summarized the events that took place. It told us about who murdered the father and wife, and why they did it. Also in the article it talked about the motives of other suspects of the murders. But since Lizze was let out of jail, then there still could be a murder roaming the streets.

I was said in the book that there was no blood stained clothing around the house or in the yard of the Borden's house. This leads us to believe that the murder was not in the Borden family. They talked about how the murders became the talk of the town and how everyone knew and had their own theories. But eventually they arrested Lizzie Borden (in my opinion wrongfully).

In this part of the book we see the things people were doing at the time of the murder. The maid was at a friends house, the other daughter Emma was out. The uncle was meeting with a prospector, and Lizzie was in the back shed looking for iron pieces. Lizze is the one that found her fathers body and told the main to call the police. The scene soon got hectic with news reporters and police everywhere around the house.

Here we find out about the murders in August 4. The daughter Lizzie Borden was arrested for the murders of her father and step-mother. The author gives us a backstory on their family. They tell us that they had two daughters, their mother was dead, and their uncle had come to visit them the weekend the father and step-mom were killed. The character doesn't believe Lizzie murdered them so now she's investigating.
