So far the only think I find myself wondering about this book is how the author seemed to totally miss the nature of the relationship between Joss and Monica. After reading the Well of loneliness "serving in the ambulance corps" is nothing except shorthand for lesbians. That and when Stephen shows up she says how he was a rival to her for Monica!
