When someone asks you how you are you are meant to say FINE. You are not meant to say that you cried yourself to sleep last night because you hadn't spoken to another person in two consecutive days. FINE is what you say.

Eleanor Oliphant seems perfectly happy to just be herself. Its a shame she has to change in order to fit in for a while. I suppose we all want to be accepted by people, deep down.

It had been quit a day. i felt drained, but something had crystallized in my mind . These new people, new adventures... this contact . I found it overwhelming, but, to my surprise, not at all unpleasant. Id coped surprisingly well, i thought. Id met new people, introduced myself to them, and we'd spent problem free social time together.
