This has been a slower read than I expected. I suppose it wasn't meant to be read in the first place but listened to. I'm finally to the part where Odysseus comes home to deal with his wife's suitors, so maybe my pace will pick up.

Intro finished. Looking forward to starting the actual poem this evening. I think the reading should move a bit swifter.

Still on the intro. It's 70 pages long and almost reads like a summary of the poem, making me ask why I would bother to read the actual poem after I finish the "cliff notes" version that precedes it, but I've found that I'm actually enjoying it and I think it will bring a deeper understanding of the poem once I read it. It'll almost be like reading the poem twice.
