Pretty sure Kristen Ashley hates women. Her heroines are always less sexually experienced. They love shoes and diet soda and only eat what they like on major holidays. Meanwhile, the men are major manhoes, who can do whatever they like as long as they put a hand on the heroine's neck and say "babe" in a gruff voice. Secondary male characters are forgiven everything, while secondary females are always bitches.

You missed out mentioning how nearly all the heroines mention Kitchen Aid products and end up buy some kind of home furnishing item.

Even though they are 30-45 they had one, max 2 boyfriends or better yet virgins. The men all have succesful ninja careers, but all the women want is taking care of the house and their men. And my favourite even though they decided not to have kids they make the best step moms and always know how to talk to a teen. Yes, exactly! Or if it's a second-chance romance, the women have been celibate or damn near the whole time, even if it's been 20 years! I feel like she writes her heroines just independent enough to snare the hero, but not so much that it would infringe on his manly need to dominate and control. I have nothing against a strong man who knows what he wants, but she always makes them profligate fuckboys, and her heroines needy, emotionally incompetent and sexually unawakened.
