I love me some Kearney, but surprisingly, this is a little underwhelming. Tired fantasy cliches. Predictable. Uninspired. I may jump ship (pardon the pun) on this if it doesn't improve... thought I can't imagine why it would. Seems deliberately-crafted, so the assumption would be that if I continue, I'm in for more of the same...
