I didn't find myself actually enjoying and invested in this book until three quarters of the way through. Chaol one of my favorite characters at the beginning of the series had become one of my least favorite, this book was definitely a bit of redemption for him but it still did not compensate for the overal whiny character he had become.
I wish the last quarter of the book had been reflected throughout
