I'm in a place now where one character is really entertaining, and the other hasn't done much, so I'm a bit frustrated as a reader. It's very similar to Shallahn's chapters in Way of Kings. Now that one of the major plot points is set up (what I hope is the main plot of the story), it's easier to follow.

As is typical in epic fantasy, the beginning has been a lot of world building and exposition. The familial intrigue is interesting. I'm waiting to see how the story goes from here.

The opening is full of a lot of exposition and world history. I'm sure it all ties to the world, but it made for a slow start. Also, my reading time is a bit limited with current plans being what they are. I'm positive this will pick up.

Haven't started it in earnest. Just prepped it. I'll read this once I'm done proofing The Power of Words anthology.
