Currently in “When the Game was Ours” Magic Johnson is playing on the the Lakers and is figuring out what the players do outside of the gym for fun. Cocaine usage in the NBA in the 70’s and 80’s was huge. Paul Westphal is quoted on saying that half of the NBA used cocaine in that era. Magic and Larry have nothing to do with it and always stayed away from drugs.

Magic and Larry dominate the 1980’s and save the NBA from bankruptcy. Magic and Kareem finished their careers with 5 championships with the Lakers. Larry won the chip 3 times. Both Magic and Larry got 3 MVP’s. Both also finished their careers as legends and top 10 players.

Magic Johnson was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the first pick. He’s extremely excited because he’s always liked the atmosphere of LA and all the people and sunshine. He will team up with Kareem Abdul Jabbar to later become known as one of the greatest duos of all time.

Magic Johnson has chosen to play at Michigan State. It’s his home college, he was very excited when he made his decision. Larry chose to play for Indiana State. Indiana is also Larry’s home college.

Magic Johnson is a sympathetic character because he’s really nice and has a great personality. Larry Bird is unsympathetic character because he’s really quiet, doesn’t have a great personality.

Magic and the Lakers are struggling. People have nicknamed them the “Fakers” and “Tragic Magic”. This is completely embarrassing for Magic as he is known for being a total sweetheart who would never kill a fly. The “Fakers” are digging themselves in a deep hole and can’t get out.

Larry Bird has won his first MVP and NBA championship. Magic has his 2nd championship and is now considered the best player on the Lakers, not Kareem. Magic is the most beloved player in the leauge with his good sportsmanship and good attitude.
