The chapter on France was very poor. It seemed to be more a hatchet job towards Germany, UK and other countries with a bit of schadenfreude and whatabputery as an attempt to justify French actions. Other chapters so far have been interesting

Ghana was interesting as was Finland.

The best chapters tend to be the critical ones while some tend to come across as a bit insecure on national identity. These ate the poor chapters

Described questioning czech national identity as blasphemous.

Hungarian chapter treads very close to fervent nationalism and ethnic supremacy.

The chapters are no where near critical enough to the notion of national identity, instead it is rubber stamping. Writers are university professors but it seems in a number of chapters rather than critical analysis, it is nationalistic propaganda.
