Okay, so far it's fun, though full of what I call "action-less action." They did shoot some guys and blow some things up and there was a space ship crash and gun-battle. And of course, we have a book that states what we all know, if your marooned on a strange planet it's always good to have a person of "Cajun" decent...they can clean and cook anything.

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon)
is finished
Finished, best yet from DePrima. This is very much the same type, or style of novel as James Capbell's "The Lost Fleet" at least the same, narrative heavy big picture enviroment. More later. Sydnee Marcola is a very cool Heroine. I've some grips but, those'll come in the review. Bottomline, it's a good read, recommendable though not "the best there is" in Sci-fi but surely entertaining and worth reading time.

Okay, this is still better than most of the Galaxy Unknown series. Still needs more showing, less telling, but, it's on par with the first couple of "Lost Fleet" stories, or which ever one of those you think is the worst. The characters are more fun, strong female Heroine and more appropriate and better placed humor. It's a good read.

Okay, this is better than the early "Galaxy Unknowns" (well, maybe par or slightly better than the first one, but better than the two or three after that.) It's got a spunky, capable female hero, who is likeable. It enjoys the same roots with British Admiralty and you don't have to have read the Janetta Carver Series to enjoy this one, though, you will understand Space Command and the Galactic alliance better.

A new character (Female) who is, so far anyway, much like, yet better than Janetta Carver. Building on what I thought turned out to be some good development in writing style from the last Glaxy Unknown Story. Sidnee Marcola is as likeable or more than the poor young Ensign Carver in the first Galaxy Unknown (Book #1). Still needs more show than tell but, hey, pobodies nerfect. Look at my books...
