I am really taking my time with this, partially because I am jotting down notes and partially because Hendrickson packs so much into it, I don't want to miss anything. A unique vantage point, discussing Hemingway through his most prized possession. I am learning as much about EH as a writer as I am about the kind of person he was...and Hendrickson offers many valuable lessons himself. I am really loving it so far...

Still taking some time (also reading other books), but still SO full and SO good. Met Paul Hendrickson at CHF last week...he is terrific and so passionate about this work. Lucky enough to have a chance to chat a bit with him--his investment in this work spans years, and it's definitely apparent as you read. He shows EH in all his glory, but also the flaws...it's a wonderful glimpse into a very complicated genius...
