https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/5...Pretty creepy, it’s not what I expected but the writing is good (it’s translated) and I’m liking the characters. Few warnings for if you want to read it: rape, abuse, men having control over women, hallucinations, severe insomnia, anorexia and probably more.
This one makes me wish I had kept at my Korean classes as the translation, apparently, takes many liberties. I am extremely curious about Human Acts, too.

If I end up liking the ending to this one (it’s good so far) I might check out her other works, human acts does sound interesting.

Indeed but there is something mournful, for lack of a better term, in having actually studied a language but simply not being good enough at it to apply it in any comprehensive manner.
