I wasn’t gonna read the whole series but hmmm that ending really makes me want to find out because GILBERT BLYTHE MAY BE A LOVE INTEREST anyways the last few pages kinda made me want to cry

Ermagerd I love Anne but I think Gilbert Blythe is gonna be one of those rip-off characters where you think they’re gonna be a love interest but nope they’re just a friend (ex. Noah from All Fall Down Alexei is just weird)

I find Anne one of the best characters in any book I’ve ever read, she has a wild imagination and is still able to speak her mind. This book is surprisingly hilarious and easy to comprehend for a classic. What I’m really waiting for is Rachel’s reaction to Anne. Would recommend it (so far) to everyone.

“This had been done without her advice being asked, and must perforce be disapproved.” The first chapter was hilarious. I didn’t realize Rachel was the stereotypical gossip-y neighbor until a little bit later, and Marilla is very passive aggressive. A note - Rachel and Marilla should be vampires.
