Jim put his hands around Devina's neck. I say good, except the story's not done yet...she'll be back. Not too sure I'm stoked about Matthias going all Mister Testosterone claiming Mels as his. If you're thinking about leaving dude, why bother breaking her heart, just do it now! Why can it never be the other way round? Why can't we ladies claim a man as ours in JR Ward's world? Sexist?!?

Nice to see Mels and her mother repairing their relationship. She may need this when it is all said and done if Matthias chooses the wrong road or if he acts on impulse and decides to leave her. As for the "war" I hope in the end Devina doesn't get what she wants in this round. Actually, I wish Ad would off her but that wouldn't be sporting and how do you kill something already dead anyhow?!?

I get irked at romance stories when a man can be like Matthais and bag a chick, but we females have to be drop dead, otherwise we can't be the heroine or have an HEA. For once, I'd like someone to write something where the chick might not be drop dead, but she's smart and kick ass, and gets a HEA or gets to be the savior like Jim is! But since most paranormals are written FEMALES!!!!! Throw is a bone sisters!!!!

So nice to see references to charecters from other series. Mels has Beth's (From BDB Series) old desk at the CCJ and uses her coffee mug hoping she'll come back, which of course she won't. Dick, is still ever the leering boss! It's unusual that Mels and Matthias get more than one chapter at a time. So far, no angel appearances, and Jim has obviously been put on the case. ODD????

Darn it!!!!!! I see where this is going already!!!!!! Jim's old and very evil boss from BlackOps gets to come back and he gets a love story?!? WTF! does God have a screw loose?!? Jim is already bearing the weight of everything including Cissy into his psyche, dealing with this SOB for Round Two might just push him over the edge. When does the savior get saved?????
