1st sex scene already, they've been in a relationship for a while so that's not surprising, but it started with Sabrina (heroine) thinking
'They'd made love numerous times...'
and that just killed any sexual tension there might've been. After reading the scene I felt very ho-hum about the whole thing. The right words were there, but I didn't feel any feeling behind them. Will keep reading to finish the series.

Silva was in for a big shock. Bastard hadn't counted on having to fight a whole town, most of whom could shoot a gun a helluva lot better than he or his men.
Really?! Weren't his men described as being trained to kill ex-mercenaries? Plus, surely they have automatic weapons with 1000s of rounds? I'm not buying the '25 townspeople with shotguns can stop a chopper full of assault rifle-wielding killers' idea.

'The other women crowded around Sabrina and Lauren. Claudia and Donna wore expressions of concern. The suspicious expression on Ashley's face made Sabrina cautious in her answer.'
I'm pretty sure Ashley is a plant who reports back to Silva whenever she's taken away to be 'raped' about if there are any troublemakers in the current batch of women and possible escape attempts.

'If something had changed, he would let her know. She had to trust her that.'
That second sentence does not make sense. I guess Grace was going for 'in' but somehow ended up with 'her' instead?

'"You lowlife, scum sucking, disgusting piece of crap."'
Sabrina really needs to learn some new insults - this is the third time she's called a bad guy 'scum sucking' and it's getting tired. Plus she sounds like she's just stepped out of an 80s teen movie and isn't allowed to use proper curse words due to censorship laws.

'There was one slight glitch in their scenario. Silva had instructed Marsh to take Sabrina to a small abandoned airstrip. They would be met there and given instructions on what to do next.
How stupid can you get? Once Marsh gets her to the airstrip he could be ordered to turn her over to another of Silva's goons and never see her again. There's no way this would work in real life.

Sabrina is an idiot and clearly does have a death wish and I'm finding her refusal to use the small amount of brains in her head to be quite frustrating. Obviously this all going to go very badly wrong as I'm not even half way through and the op is on. At least it's easy reading and there's only been one editing mistake since I refuse to put this down in favour of a better book - I will finish and return it ASAP.

The hero's name is Ian Mackenzie, his father's name is Barry. Any Australians out there get the joke?

'This woman made him want to share information. Get her take and opinion.'
In this context do 'take' and 'opinion' not mean the exact same thing?

is starting
I started this about a month ago, put it down to sleep after 20ish pages and never felt motivated to pick it up again, but it's got to go back to the library tomorrow so I'm giving it 1 last chance to impress me before I DNF it.
