It is a chronicle-style book telling the story of the Targarrien Conquest of Westeros and their reign before the time of 'Game of Thrones'. It gets better and more captivating the more you read. My heart stopped a beat when the Sealord of Braavos threatened to unleash the Faceless Men against the Dragons of the Targeryens because that would really be something to look forward to.
