// Some of this author's newer works aren't for me! I made a mistake, thinking that because I adored a few of her books, that I'd continue to enjoy them ALL! There ARE a few exceptions, absolutely, and I do own a few of this author's older books that I definitely know I'll absolutely ADORE! But I think I'll be MUCH pickier about this author's newer releases ... some I'll definitely read and some I just won't :-)!!

// Again, don't get me wrong, I adore Crispin's friendships with all his best friends, but holy moly, Cam and Nick and Ray and Link and even his sister Millie, are always THERE!! I feel like this book is more about Crispin's friendships than about him and Luka!
I get that this author is trying to create a feel for family and friendship, but she might not have a stop button, because this is TOO much, it's overflowing!

// Holy shit! As great as Crispin's friends are - and they ARE great friends - they're also really starting to irritate the fuck out of me >:-o!! You'd think they'd be happy for him instead of critiquing him on HOW has has decided to walk outside his own comfort zone!! It's like they encourage him but only when it's on their terms! I get that they're very protective of him and are concerned, but guys, back off a bit!
