At this point the story is already ridiculous. I cannot suspend my disbelief. I am going to skim through the rest to see if the story redeems itself, but I’m not confident that it will.

I’ve skimmed the last 40% and this story is basically a contrived “horror movie” in book form. Ughhhh not a good one, but the common type nowadays. Bleh.
