As I progress, Im beginning to think this book is eactly what I needed. My education was woefully deficient in the arts, being a science major who tested out of English completely. Im a bit more familiar with music, but not much. I'm a boomer, so many highly praised works I read about were nilhilistic & I just ignored them. Caveat: Apriori agreement with the writers viewpoint - Cultural Marxism is responsible for the absolute mental chaos that grips academia today. And 2. The loss of Western Culture values is detrimental to the whole world. Those that seek freedom from any moral judgment are marching right into the open arms of tyranny.

I like the concepts & the analysis tying art/music/lit to modern day non-philosophy. I believe some absolutes are not only justifyable, but absolutely critical for mankind to ever achieve any spiritual advancement at all. But of course those who are teaching this do not want spiritual/ menal advancement. They want willing slaves who will always believe anything they are taught. And those of us who wont agree will simply be either reprogrammed or disposed of.
