Started off very confusing with a lot of random parts that didn’t seem to make a whole, but I’m starting to understand the novel more now. The beginning is really slow, but I think that’s suppose to characterize Riley as plain and boring. This in return acts as a stark comparison when Riley’s counterpart is introduced, and further serves to amplify the difference of the two worlds/dimensions (cont.)
