A significant moment in this book was when Bao Shaoyen finally matures enough to meet Rachael. This is important because the moment she sees her, she feels remorse for her actions, and becomes a motherly figure to Rachael. Before this had happened, she was cold and uncaring towards her husband, her daughter, her son, and Rachael. But this event allows her to soften up and realize the important things in her life.

I can make a connection between this book and the area called Beverly Hills. This is because upon visiting that area, I noticed that many people there flaunt their wealth, which also occurs regularly in this book.
