There was a serious event that happened recently in this book. When August went to school on Halloween, he was wearing a mask. His friend, Jack was telling his cool kid friends he just hangs with him because he feels bad for him and he thinks he looks really bad and ugly. August is crushed. I think there friendship will be affected by this change.

Jack is the arcatype and trickster. He always tries to mess around no matter what. He always has to be the funniest thing. The character plays that role to make the story more exiting and adds some humor to it. I like this charecter a lot becuase he always makes me laugh.

In this book I am a bit confused what’s happening, but I’ve started to figure it out. I am doing text to world. I have heard about kids who get bullied in school becuase if there look or apperence. This makes you look at a perspective of the kids getting bullied and what they look like.
