I'm not complaining about the development, but if that was supposed to be a plot twist I figured it out sixty pages ago.

I think my biggest problem with this book is that it doesn't really feel like a story? It's just like someone narrating their life, including a lot of the boring superfluous bits that don't really need to be there. I don't like the past-tense 'retelling' style it's written in either, and I don't think that helps with the over-complicatedness of it. Plus I can't connect to Ronan's character at all.

This book needs to dial back the OMG and WTFs, they're grating on me. Although I do feel like I'm being excessively harsh, because I am enjoying the story, I just wish it had been properly edited.

This book would have seriously benefited from an editor.

I like the premise of this book (I always love queer shit + religion) but the writing doesn't feel at all polished, which makes it somewhat hard to read. I'm hoping I get more into it as I keep reading.
