Love the main character, Teyr Amondsen. She is battleworn, fierce, caring and determined but also full of self-reflection and flaws. I want more heroes like her.

I really like it so far. This book feels like Laplandian fantasy, with reindeer and strange herbal concoctions that give fighters superhuman strenght. My only critique so far is that the book could use an index of the characters. There are so many new ones introduced and it's a bit hard for me to keep track in my head. Also mainly because there's a lot of flashbacks and flashforwards in the beginning.
