A lot of reviewers slammed this book, and I have to admit that I'm hesitant about finishing the whole thing. It's quite long at 468 pages in a tiny font! The author's refusal to use place names IS annoying, and the story meanders too much. I do find the main character compelling, I love the supernatural elements, and I even liked the erotic scenes (though some complained abut this). I guess that's enough to keep on.
