I have reviewed the sucky, sexist, racist, overrated PoS that is The Walking Dead. Be prepared: http://thebloodfiend.tumblr.com/post/...

Dude, it's not even guilty pleasure good. Like, sometimes, I'm able to ignore the sexism because the show is good, despite the way it treats the women in it -- like Breaking Bad. This is just boring. You're not missing anything.

Kaia Do yourself a favor, and never read the comic. I've seen a lot of people say that the comic handles women better than the show, but what I read was actually worse.

Oh, you forgot that the CDC explosion also takes out that one black woman who was pretty awesome on the rare occasion she got an actual speaking line, but who inexplicably was like "Yeah, okay, I'm just gonna sit here and die now." She actually takes the place of a really awful strawman white Christian woman from the comic and is such a huge improvement that I guess they just couldn't allow her to live. *eyeroll*

How did I miss her death? I guess it was too much fail for my brain to comprehend. I actually skipped ahead in the series to find the men finally starting to teach the wimmenz how to shoot guns. After like five months. Kill me now.

Kaia Does Rick snark at Lori's expense as much in the show as he does in the comic? Cause he's a right fuckhead about her struggles in the comic.

We stopped watching after the first episode of season two. The first season was pretty entertaining for all its problems, but the second season just turns all the issues up to eleven. (Of course, by that point I'd already read two of the godawful Newsflesh books, so it may be that my zombie suspension of disbelief was busted by the time season 2 rolled around.)

Thankfully, no. At least, not from what I watched.

I'm just zombie'd out right now. I wasn't even entertained after ep one.

Marie Even I, the most bookish, indoorsy, and 'girliest' girl in my family, has used a rifle. Alright, once. But still. In the case of zombie apocalypse, I think I could manage. And I'd wear heels, too.

It takes them that long? Jeesh. I don't think I'll be watching the show anymore, but it's nice to know they finally got the memo.

Sidenote: Apparently, I've got some hidden agenda, reviewing this show. Who knew?
